IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, creates opportunity for people to escape poverty and improve their lives. We foster sustainable economic growth in developing countries by supporting private sector development, mobilizing private capital, and providing advisory and risk mitigation services to businesses and governments.

To support Vietnam’s banking sector, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) provided a grant for the Bank Training Center (BTC) to build capacities in Vietnamese banks through trainings and consultancies. The grant was managed by IFC and covered the period from December 2005 to December 2009. Proceeds from the grant were used to: i) introduce new content and services to the market where expertise was not locally available, ii) help existing BTC customers continue/increase their trainings and consultations, and iii) assist new BTC customers in using the services.
