Final Evaluation of the Vietnam Bank Training Center
Vietnam
IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, creates opportunity for people to escape poverty and improve their lives. We foster sustainable economic growth in developing countries by supporting private sector development, mobilizing private capital, and providing advisory and risk mitigation services to businesses and governments.
In Vietnam, IFC Advisory services are delivered in partnership with Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
To support Vietnam’s banking sector, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) provided a grant for the Bank Training Center (BTC) to build capacities in Vietnamese banks through trainings and consultancies. The grant was managed by IFC and covered the period from December 2005 to December 2009. Proceeds from the grant were used to: i) introduce new content and services to the market where expertise was not locally available, ii) help existing BTC customers continue/increase their trainings and consultations, and iii) assist new BTC customers in using the services. IFC is now looking to hire consultant(s) to conduct a final evaluation of the effectiveness of the allocation of the grant. The evaluation will also indicate lessons learned in supporting the banking sector via trainings and consultations.
IFC now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Firms that have been determined to be qualified through the evaluated results of this first stage will be invited to submit proposals for the Request for Proposals (RFP)
IFC reserves the right to limit the number of qualified firms shortlisted for efficiency. IFC reserves the right to verify any information provided, or to request additional information after EOI packages are received.
