Driver to UNIDO Representative, Vietnam The UNIDO Country Office (UCO) in Vietnam is seeking
candidates for the position of Driver. It is a one year
contract with the possibility of extension based on
satisfactory performance; starting date is 1 April 2006.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Drive the UR and, on occasion, visiting staff from UNIDO
Headquarters; ensure punctuality and safe transport;
- Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate
immigration and customs formalities;
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the
UCO car, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.,
perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs; ensure
that the car is kept clean and in good working condition;
- Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil
changes, greasing, etc;
- Collect and deliver mail or documents when required; and
- Make photocopies and transmit faxes;
- Perform other administrative duties as requested by office
staff.
Post Requirements:
Knowledge/skills:
- Excellent driving skills with appropriate driving license,
good traffic judgement, good knowledge about car mechanics,
car maintenance and routes/addresses of UNIDO’s partners.
Knowledge on operation and maintenance of the office
equipment.
Experience and training:
- At least 10 years experience of safe driving.
Language requirements:
- Good command of English (in understanding and speaking).
