The Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies
(IR/PS)
at the University of California, San Diego is pleased to announce the
2006
Pacific Rim Summer Seminar in US Studies. The Pac Rim Summer Seminar
is a
four-week program for young professionals from Asia and Latin America who
want to deepen their understanding of the United States. The program
offers the unique opportunity for professionals from around the Pacific
Rim to learn about the US political system and about the making of US
government policy by exchanging ideas with internationally renowned
faculty.
We are seeking your help to identify individuals who would be interested
in applying to the 2006 Pac Rim Summer Seminar (which will run from July
3th to July 28th, 2006). The target audience for the program includes
scholars, government officials, journalists, business people, and
representatives from NGOs[Marker] who are in the early stages of their
careers and who show exceptional promise as future leaders in their
professions. I would be grateful if you would forward this message to
individuals or institutions in Asia who you think would benefit from
knowing about the program. Thanks to financial support from the Henry
Luce Foundation, scholarships are available for a limited number of
qualified applicants.
